The Mime Ensemble will perform at the Birmingham Temple.

A Soldier's Tale by Igor
Stravinsky will be presented at
the Birmingham Temple on
April 27 at 7:30 p.m.
A theater piece that tells its
story with music, narration and
dance, the entire work has not
been performed locally in 12
years.
Based on a Russian folk tale,
the story has three characters: a
soldier, a princess and the Devil.
The pie.ce is strongly influenced
by Stravinsky's discovery of
American jazz, especially the
strong percussion element.
