The eight-day holiday of
Passover will be celebrated be-
ginning at sundown Wednesday
in Jewish homes throughout the
world. Area congregations who
have made their Passover serv-
ice schedules available are:
ADAT SHALOM
SYNAGOGUE: Passover serv-
ices will be held at 6 p.m. Wed-
nesday, 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Thursday and 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
April 25.
Concluding Days' services will
be at 6 p.m. April 29, 9 a.m. and '
6 p.m. April 30, 9 a.m. (Yizkor)
and 8:30 p.m. May 1. Rabbi Efry
Spectre will officiate, and Can-'
for Larry Vieder will chant the
liturgy.
CONG. BETH ABRAHAM
HILLEL MOSES: The Siyum
B'chorim for the first-born males
will be at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Erev Passover services will be
at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Services
will continue at 8:45 a.m.
Thursday and April 25. Rabbi
A. Irving Schnipper will of-
ficiate, and Cantor Igrael Fuchs
will chant the liturgy.
CONG. BETH ACHIM: Erev

"What Freedom Is Not."
Concluding Days' services will
be at 6 p.m. April 29 and 9 a.m.
April 30, when Rabbi Nelson
will speak on "Lessons From
The Song of Songs." Minchah
will he at 6 p.m. Rabbi Nelson
will speak on "Free to Re-
member" at 9 a.m. Yizkor serv-
ices May 1. Minchah will be at
6:30 p.m.

Day Pasover services will be at
10:30 a.m. Thursday. Guest
speaker will be Rabbi Jordan
Parr. Passover services will be
at 6:30 p.m. April 25 with the
Isaac M. Wise Service at Temple
Beth El at 8:30 p.m.
Concluding Days' services will
be at 7:30 p.m. April 29 and
10:30 a.m. April 30 (Yizkor).

ficiate, and Cantor Norman.

LIVONIA JEWISH CON-
GREGATION: Services will be
held at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Serv-

p.m. April 25, when Rabbi Mar-
tin Gordon will speak on "The
People Are Confused."
Concluding Days' Services
will be at 7 p.m. April 29, 9 a.m.
April 30 and 9 a.m. (Yizkor)
May 1.
CONG. SHAAREY ZEDEK:
Erev Passover services will be
at 6 p.m. Wednesday. At 8:45
a.m. Thursday; the sermon topic
will be "A ,Night of Watching."
Services will continue at 6 p.m.
Thursday.
At 8:45 a.m. services April 25,
the sermon topic will be "Day-
enu."
Concluding Days' services will
be at 6 p.m. April 29, 8:45 a.m.
April 30, when the sermon topic
will be "Renewal," 6 p.m. April
30 and 8:45 a.m. (Yizkor) May
1. "The Power of Religion" will
be the topic of Yizkor services,
and memorial plaques will be
dedicated. Rabbis Irwin Groner
and Kenneth Cohen will of-
ficiate, and Cantors Chaim
Najman and Sidney Rube will
chant the liturgy.

CONG. B'NAI ISRAEL OF
WEST BLOOMFIELD: Rabbi
Sherman Kirshner will officiate
at Minchah and Maariv
Passover services at 6:45 p.m.
Wednesday. At 9 a.m. Thursday,
Rabbi Kirshner will speak on
"Freedom Is Such a Precious
Word." Second Day Pesach serv-
ices will be at 9 a.m. April 25.
Concluding Days' services will
be at 9 a.m. April 30 and 9 a.m.
(Yizkor) May 1, when Rabbi'
Kirshner will speak on "Why I
Love Pesach Best of All."
DOWNTOWN
SYNAGOGUE: Passover serv-
ices will begin at 5:15 p.m..
Wednesday. Thursday's services
will be at 7:30 a.m. and 5:15

Cantor Conducts
Prentis Service

Cantor David A. Gutman who
has served Borman. Hall and
Prentis Manor at Passover since
1975 conducting traditional
Seders and services will con-
tinue that tradition again this
year at Prentis Manor. -
Cantor Gutman will conduct
services 5 p.m. Wednesday and
will conduct the first Seder im-
mediately following the services.
He will chant the liturgical.
services at 9 a.m. Thursday and
conduct the second Seder that
night.
Services will be conducted at
9 a.m. April 25 and 26. Conclud-
ing services will be 9 a.m. April
30 and 9 am. May 1.
