Attorney Lawrence R. Ternan
of Rochester has announced his
candidacy for the Oakland
County Circuit Court seat being
vacated by Judge Frederick C.
Ziem.
Ternan, 46, is a partner in the
law firm of Patterson and Patter-
son, Whitfield, Manikoff, Ternan
and White, of Bloomfield Hills.
For the past 14 years, he has
served as the attorney of the city
of Rochester Hills. He has also re-
presented the city of Troy, Oxford
Township and St. Clair County.
Ternan is a graduate of Wayne
State University School of Law.
Ternan was chairman of a bar
association committee that
studied the scheduling and dis-
position of cases in Circuit Court.
He has authored several articles
for professional journals and been
a featured speaker before profes-
sional groups, legal seminars and
at major state universities.
He is a member of the Michi-
gan, American, Oakland County
and Rochester Bar Associations,
