WSU Cites Simons
Wayne State University has
dedicated the Leonard N. Si-
mons Room at the Purdy Li-
brary to honor the Detroit ad-
vertising executive for his con-
tributions to the university. The
room houses some 1,500 books,
-atlases, gazettes and maps
which Simons has donated to
the library.
Last month, Simons was hon-
ored by WSU at a reception
marking the 30th anniversary of
the WSU Press Board of Ad-
visors, an organization Simons
helped found to generate finan-
cial support for the university
publisher.
