Si- mons Room at the Purdy Li- brary to honor the Detroit ad- vertising executive for his con- tributions to the university. The room houses some 1,500 books, -atlases, gazettes and maps which Simons has donated to the library. Last month, Simons was hon- ored by WSU at a reception marking the 30th anniversary of the WSU Press Board of Ad- visors, an organization Simons helped found to generate finan- cial support for the university publisher.
