have experienced a sense of
powerlessness in the past," she
said, "but we chanelled that
powerlessness into knowledge."
Greenberg suggested that a
balance between Judaism and
feminism can be achieved
through "utilizing the dialectic."
This means asking not only
whether a situation or solution
is good for the Jews, but
whether it is good for other
human beings.
To the more than 250 women
in attendance, Greenberg said,
"Our traditions and our values
have given us a lot to teach; a
lot to share with others. Some-
times serving our own agenda is
serving the entire world."
