.S. May Use
audi Bases
New York (JTA) — Saudi
Arabia will allow American
military forces to use its bases
against the Russians or in a
major flare up on the Persian
the New York Times re-
)orted last week. The paper said
t obtained the information from
a confidential Reagan Adminis-
tration report.
"The policy study, put to-
gether largely by the State De-
partment, was ordered by the
White House last winter to pro-
vide justification for the ex-
pected sale of advanced military
equipment to Saudi Arabia and
Jordan this fall," the Times re-
ported.
Noting that the U.S. has been
seeking the use of Saudi bases
for several years, the paper said
the Saudis agreed to the Ameri-
can request last year, when Iran
was threatening to attack Saudi
oil fields in retaliation for Iraqi
raids on Iranian bound oil tan-
kers.

Washington (JTA) — Revers-

lishers who sought visas to
attend the fair were rejected, ac-
cording to an official at the
Soviet Embassy in Washington.
Both Bernstein and Laber are

The mbassy official did not
exphd why the ban on Levin-
son w is lifted but the other two
Amer cans were banned from
the fair.

a leadership training course
hosted by the Aish HaTorah
College of Jewish Studies and
sponsored in conjunction with
the World Zionist Organization
(WZO).
The students, chosen by an
advisory committee on the basis
of their leadership potential,
spent six weeks in Israel meet-
ing with top-level political and
military leaders and touring the
country comprehensively.
