three grandchildren. Interment

Mrs. Jennie Folbe; and six
grandchildren.
RACHEL TANKUS, 93, died
Aug. 11. She leaves two daugh-
ters, Mrs. Vera Cherkasky of
Florida and Mrs. Marilyn Bick;
a brother, Harry Oberstein; a
sister, Mrs. Rose Goldsmith;
four grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.

Oak Park, died Aug. 1. Survived
by her husband, Norman; a son,
Howard; a daughter, Mrs.
Jerome (Sheryl) Kasle of Flint;
and two grandchildren.
LEE BROOKS, 66, former De-
troiter of Granada Hills, Calif.,
died Aug. 13, Survived by his
wife, Sharon; three sons, Alan,
Richard and Michael; a daugh-
ter, Mrs.. Michael (Janie) Her-
son; two brothers, Alfred and
George; three •sisters, Mrs.
Pauline Hammerstein,. Mrs.
Sidney. (Eva) Freed and Mrs.
Frances Miller, all of Florida;
and one granddaughter.
CARL CARSON, 63, former
Detroiter of Lauderdale Lakes,
Fla., died Aug. 12. Survived by
his wife, Paula; a son, Larry of
Glendale, Ariz.; two daughters,
Mrs. Warren (Shelly) Siegel of
West Bloomfield and Phyllis of
Australia; and three grand-
children. Interment Detroit.
SAMUEL FINGERER, 93, of
Oak Park, died Aug. 9. Survived
by two sisters, Dora Steinmetz
and Tess, both of New York; a
cousin, Sol Kirzner; and two
granddaughters, Marcia
McClure and Vivian Stuck of
New Jersey. Interment New

ELLEEN (IDA) GOODMAN,
former Detroiter of Studio City,
Calif., died Aug. 14. Survived by
her husband, Karl; a son, Shel-
don of California; a sister, Mrs.
Dorothy Hamburg of Oak Park;
Sarah Simons
Sarah Simons, a member of
Jewish organizations here and
in Florida, died Aug. 4 at age
77.
A former Detroiter who re-
sided in Hollywood, Fla., Mrs.
Simons was a member of Adat
Shalom Synagogue in Detroit
and the Deborah group, Hades-
sah, Temple Solel Sisterhood
and Sheridan Lakes Women's
Club in Florida.
She is survived by her hus-
band, Leonard; two sons, Jerome
of Hollywood, Fla., and Robert
or Orlando, Fla.; a brother,
Daniel Balantozon of Hollywood;
a sister, Helen Fitlow of Oak
Park; and six grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren. Inter-
ment Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
FLORENCE KANEFSKY, 63,
former Detroiter of Encino,
Calif., died Aug. 7. She leaves
two sons, Howard of California
and Ronald of Kentucky; a
daughter, Mrs. Sharlene Berger
of California; a brother, Louis
Damraur of Southfield; and 11
grandchildren. Interment

RUBEN KAUFMAN, 86, of
Oak Park, died Aug. 12. Sur-
vived by his wife, Lucille; two
daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Roslind)
Hayes and Mrs. Lawrence
(Marilyn) Wayne; nine grand-

children.
GEORGE LELCHOOK, 80, of
Southfield, died Aug. 11. Sur-
vived by his. wife, Dorothy; a
son, David; two daughters, Mrs.
Sidney (Eleanor) Weis and Mrs.
Morris (Mitzie) Zucker; three
brothers, Louis of Torrance,
Calif.; Paul of University City,
Mo.; and Ben of Sioux City,
Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Esther
Domnitch; seven grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
ELEANOR LEVINE, 74, died
Aug. 11. She leaves a daughter,
Mrs. Ina Sky; two brothers,
Julius Gelfand and Herman Gel-
fend, both of Ohio; and two
grandchildren.
BENNY SHERMAN, 88, of

vived by his wife, Blanche; a
