Anna Nosanchuk
Anna I. Nosanchuk, a volun-
teer for many organizations here
and in Israel, died Aug. 1 at age
82.
Born in Russia, Mrs. Nosan-
chuk came to the U.S. in 1921.
She was a life member of B'nai
B'rith Pisgah Chapter, Hadas-
sah, National Council of Jewish
Women and Pioneer Women
Chana Czenesh Chapter.
She also was affilited with the
Arlazaroff Branch of the Labor
Zionist Alliance and the Zionist
Organization of America, the
David-Horodoker Women's
Organization, Jewish National
Fund and Women's American
ORT.
She had a strong interest and
love of music and sang with the
Halevy Choral Group, the
Jewish Community Center
Choir and the senior citizens
choir.
She directed that cash gifts
for her 70th and 80th birthdays
be sent to Israel.
She is survived by three
daughters, Mrs. Julius (Sonia)
Smith, Mrs. Herbert (Helen)
Kollin and Mrs. Marvin (Gloria)
Bookstein; three brothers,
Morris, Ben and Max; nine
grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.
