Jewish Community Center
announces that registration has
begun for its Teen Study Pro-
gram (TSP).
TSP is an informal,
experiential-based educational
program for Jewish youth in
grades eight-12. The program
meets during the school year on
Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m., begin-
ning Sept. 11 at the Maple/
Drake building.
Issues and topics relevant to
today's Jewish teens are pre-
sented and discussed. A dinner/
speaker series, trips and social/
recreational events complement
regular sessions which include
discussions on current events,
anti-Semitism, and Jewish views
on dating and marriage, war,
drug and alcohol abuse.
Eleventh and 12th graders have
an opportunity to do a volunteer
field placement at a Jewish
communal service agency within
the community.
August is "bring-a-friend"
month as new TSP participants
who register with a friend will
both receive $10 off the registra-
tion fee. An Aug. 25 kick-off
party is planned at 4 p.m. at the
