New York (JTA) — Two more
Jewish activists have been ar-
rested by the KGB in a recent
wave of imprisonments in the
Soviet Union.
Ari (Leonid) Volvovsky, a
long-term refusenik leader who
has suffered continuous harass-
ment including dismissal from
jobs, confiscation of property,
and exile to Gorky, was arrested
in Gorky according to the Coali-
tion to Free Soviet Jews.
The 47-year-old Dnepropet-
rovsk poet Evgeny Koifman was
also arrested during a raid by
the KGB on his home for al-
leged "drug possession" on June
18, the Student Struggle for
Soviet Jewry reported. The
secret police confiscated his Bi-
ble, Hebrew books and typewri-
ter.
Meanwhile, in Washington,
some 150 Jewish youths demon-
strated last week in support of
Soviet Jewry first outside the
National Press Building and
then at the Soviet Embassy,
where they joined in the reg-
ularly scheduled daily Soviet
Jewry vigil there.
The teenagers, who sang He-
brew songs and chanted anti-
Soviet slogans and waved
placards which demanded free-
dom for Soviet Jews, all came
from the Jewish Community
Centers of Greater Washington
and of Northern Virginia. The
vigil was , sponsored by the
Jewish Community Council of
Greater Washington.

Bonn (JTA) — A West Ger-
man Federal Court has dis-
missed the appeals of three
neo-Nazis against jail sentences
imposed on them by a lower
court for circulating anti-
Semitic propaganda and other
offenses. Th Karlsruhe-based
Federal court ruled that the ap-
peals of the three men, aged be-
tween 20 and 24 years, were un-
founded.
The three drew jail terms of
six to eight months in a trial
which took place in Frankfurt in
September 1984. They were
members of the Action Front
National Socialists, a group con-
sidered by the authorities as one
of the most extreme neo-Nazi
organizations in this country.
