Roza Gordin

Roza Gordin, a purchasing
agent for GMC Truck and Bus
Group in Pontiac, died June 22 at
age 39.
Born in Russia, Mrs. Gordin
lived in Detroit for the past 11
years. She received an electrical
engineering degree from the
Polytechnic Institute in Riga,
, Latvia. She worked in the gov-
( ernment planning institute de-
signing electrical systems for fac-
tories and cities.
She came to GMC in 1974.
She leaves her husband,
L(s_, Misha; a daughter, Marguerita;
1 her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Boris
(Esther) Drits; and a brother,
' Leonid Drits.

Della Hirschbein

Della Hirschbein, a past
president of Cong. B'nai Moshe
Sisterhood, died June 26 at age
70.
Born in Russia, Mrs. Hirsch-
bein lived 40 years in Detroit.
'She was a member of Cong. B'nai
Moshe and a member of the De-
troit Chapter of B'nai B'rith
Women, a volunteer at Sinai
Hospital, and past president of
the Southern Illinois Council of
B'nai B'rith Women.
She leaves her husband,
Robert; a son, Bernard of Boston,
Mass.; a daughter, Gail Klegon;
two brothers, Sidney Seidman
and Robert Seidman of
° Springfield, Ill.; three sisters,
Mrs. Dorothy Lynn, Mrs. Ruth
Wald and Sadie Seidman of
Springfield.

Kenneth Rosen

Kenneth E. Rosen, an attorney
with offices in Southfield, died
June 21 at age 43.
A native Detroiter, Mr. Rosen
was a member of Cong. Beth
Shalom. He was graduated in
1967 from the Detroit College of
Law. Mr. Rosen was a member of

the American and Michigan Bar versity National Women's Com-
Associations and Tau Epsilon mittee, and supported the Boy
Rho Legal Fraternity. Scouts of America.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs.
He was a former Wayne
Melvin (Barbara) Yoffee; a sister,
County assistant prosecutor.
He leaves his wife, Suzanne; Sadie Netzorg; seven
two daughters, Jennifer and grandchildren and seven great-
Julie; his mother, Mrs. Harry K. grandchildren.

Robert.

Lillian Gilbert

Lillian Gilbert, an avid camper
and participant in the senior citi-
zen camping program of the
Jewish Community Center, died
June 24 at age 78.
Born in New York City, Mrs.
Gilbert was a life member of
Hadassah, a charter member of
Cong. B'nai Israel and a life
member of its sisterhood. She
also was a member of Cong. Beth
Shalom Senior Sisterhood.
She leaves a son, Sheldon; two
daughters, Mrs. Jakob (Esther)
Liwazer and Mrs. Seymour
(Toby) Faber; a brother, Lou
Goodman; eight grandchildren
and one great-grandchild.

Irving N. Rubin, former
president and co-founder of
Craine Studios, photographers,
died June 21 at age 80.
Born in Philadelphia, Mr.
Rubin resided in Detroit for
many years prior to retiring to
Hallandale, Fla.
He leaves his wife, Julia; a
daughter, Mrs. Milton (Rosalyn)
Pack of Elkins Park, Pa.; two
sons, Benjamin H. Craine of Bir-
mingham and Jack Wendorf of
New York; a sister, Mrs. Sylvia
Kates of Miami Beach, Fla.; eight
grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren. Interment De-
troit.

Ireta Lurie, 87

Ireta Lurie, a life member of
National Council of Jewish
Women, died June 22 at age 87.
Born in Carson City, Mich.,
Mrs. Lurie lived 70 years in De-
troit. She was a member of Tem-
ple Beth El, Women's American

Dr. Benjamin Harold Stein, an
Optometrist with offices at North-
land since 1957, died June 20 at
Inge 65.
Born in Detroit, Dr. Stein was
1937 graduate of Central High
I l Schooli and a 1940 graduate of the
cnlinois College of Optometry. He
was a past president of the
Wayne County Society of Op-
tometrists, a charter member of
tbe National Eye Research
Foundation, a charter member of
he Optometrics Institute and
Clinic of Detroit, a member of
liemple Israel and Wabe -ek Colin-
, try Club.
During World War II, Dr. Stein
was a tech sergeant, serving in
*Italy. He was a former board
member of the men's health club

ter.
