Rabbi Morris Finer

New York (JTA) — Rabbi Mor-
ris Finer, who was director of
community service at Yeshiva
University's affiliated Rabbi
Isaac Elch3:nan Theological Sem-
inary (RIETS) for more than
three decades, died June, 23 in
Jerusalem at age 73.
Born in 1912, Rabbi Finer re-
ceived his bachelor's degree from
the College of the City of New
York in 1934. He was ordained at
RIETS in 1937. In 1939, he
earned his law degree at Brook-
lyn Law School.
Before going to RIETS, he
served as • the spiritual leader of
congregations in Harverstraw,
N.Y., Astoria, N.Y., and Tulsa,
Okla. He moved to Israel in 1981.

Samuel Zeldes

Samuel Zeldes, founder of City
Metals Refining Co., died June 26
at age 81.
Born in Russia, Mr. Zeldes was
the past president of the Detroit
Metal Dealers, a member of the
National Association of Waste
Materials Dealers, a member of
Cong. Shaarey Zedek for more
than 50 years and a member of
B'nai B'rith.
He leaves his wife, Sarah; a
daughter, Mrs. Rita Steele; a son,
Martin; and eight grandchildren.
Services 2 p.m. today at Ira
Kaufman Chapel.

The Print Gallery, 29203
Northwestern Hwy., Southfield,
will host an exhibit of law re-
lated art works through Sunday.
The exhibit includes original
paintings, graphics and prints.
Gallery hours are Monday-
