Jean Epstein has been named
the director of admissions for the
Jewish Home for Aged. Mrs. Eps-
tein has been employed by the
Home for ten years. Since 1975
she has been director of resident
services and social work.
Mrs. Epstein's new position will
place her in charge, full time, of a
central intake system for all of the
Home's programs and services.
She will be responsible for chan-
neling all inquiries to the appro-
priate location through a care-
fully designed evaluation and
needs assesment of the older per-
son making inquiry.
Any questions regarding ad-
mission to Borman Hall, Prentis
Manor, respite care and the
Home's day care programs for the
impaired elderly ("Daytimers" or
"Project Support") will now be
handled by Mrs. Epstein.
Mrs. Elaine Friedman will re-
place Mrs. Epstein as director of
social work. Mrs. Friedman has
worked with the Home for seven
years, having led the social work

Midrasha Starts
Class Schedule

The Midrasha, College of
Jewish Studies, will offer several
Hebrew enrichment courses in
spring and summer.
The spring courses, which are
in progress, will be held for four
weeks in the Sigmund and Sophie
Rohlik Building, 21550 W. 12
Mile, Southfield.
The spring courses are Ad-
vanced Beginners Hebrew on
Mondays at 7:30 p.m.; Beginners
Hebrew II on Wednesdays at 7:30
p.m.; and Intermediate Hebrew
on Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. Sev-
eral levels will meet during the
month of August.
Pre-registration is required for
all courses and there is a tuition
charge. There is a minimum
registration for each class of ten
students.

Jewish Community Center in
West Bloomfield.
Back specialist Susan Marcus
will conduct introductory work-
shops 10 a.m. June 9 and 6:30 p.m.

Concert Dedicated
To Soviet Jews

The memory of Al M. Rosenberg
will be honored at the Fourth An-
nual Freedom Concert for Soviet
Jewry to be presented by the
Jewish Community Council's De-
troit Soviet Jewry Committee
(DSJC) on June 3 at 8 p.m. at
' Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
Mr. Rosenberg, the son of Rus-
sian immigrants, is survived by
his wife, Phyllis; two children,
Marc and Lydia; and three
brothers, Lester, Edward and
Nathan.
The Freedom Concert features
Safam, a musical troupe who will
present a program, "Leaving
Mother Russia."
