Hospital Offers
Class for Diabetics

William Beaumont Hospital
will offer a free class for diabetics
and their families on Tuesday at 7
p.m.
The hospital will also host the
Michigan Chapter of the Ameri-
can Liver Foundation's public
education meeting on May 29 at
7:30 p.m. in classrooms B and C.
Interested persons should call
William Beaumont Hospital,
228-7387, to register for the diab-
etes class, and 288-7226 or 288-
8425 for information concerning
the public education meeting.

Honorary Doctorate

Builder Edward Rose, 89, re-
ceived an honorary Doctor of
Humanities degree at Madonna
College commencement cere-
monies Saturday.

The CNJS and Encore Cinema
Club will show the film, The 400
Blows, 7:30 p.m. Monday at the
Cranbrook Institute of Science
Auditorium. Dr. Jeffrey Welch
will give a commentary. Re-
freshments will be served. There
is a charge.
Reservations are still being
taken for the Chai Singles Ski
Club trip to the Pictured Rocks in
the Upper Peninsula slated for
July 26-28. For information, call
Leon Linderman, 540-2761.
Deadline for registration is June
15.
CNJS will take a trip to Bob-Lo
at 10:30 a.m. June 16. The outing
will include a softball game.
There is a fee. The trip was coor-
dinated by Wendy Freedman. For

Softball is played at 10:30 a.m.
Sundays at Brace-Lederle Field in
Southfield.

YOUNG JEWISH ADULTS
ASSOCIATION (ages 18-28)
