Dr. Charles Adams
Detroit NAACP President Dr.
Charles Adams will speak on the
current state of black-Jewish re-
lations 8:30 p.m. Monday at the
Birmingham Temple. The ad-
dress is part of the temple's
"Humanist Forum" series.
Dr. Adams, selected by Ebony
magazine as one of the top black
preachers of 1984, is pastor of the
Hartford Memorial Baptist
Church in Detroit.
A graduate of the University of
Michigan, Dr. Adams holds a
Bachelor of Divinity Degree from
Harvard Divinity School and sev-
eral doctoral degrees.
He has been awarded numerous
honors and held dozens of posi-
tions both locally and on the na-
tional scene.
Dr. Adams is a columnist for the
Michigan Chronicle, a member of
the Alumni Council of Harvard
Divinity School, chairman of Op-
eration PUSH, member of tte De-
troit Board of Zoning Appeals and
a board member of Goodwill In-
dustries.
