HAROLD L. ALPERT, 55, died

March 31. He leaves his wife,
Marcia; a daughter, Wendy of
Charlevoix; two sons, Steven and
Lloyd; two sisters, Mrs. Louis
(Theodora) Greek and Mrs. Sara
Rosen.

troiter of Toledo, Ohio, died
March 28. Survived by his wife,
Rose; two sons, Dr. Louis of Toledo
and Rabbi Milton H. of Brooklyn,
N.Y.; a brother, Harry of Livonia;
a sister, Mrs. Margaret Weissman
of Oak Park; and 13
grandchildren.

ABRAM BORAK, 96, of Detroit,

died March 21. Survived by a son,
Samuel; two granddaughters and

FAE COBB, 82, former Detroiter
of Chicago, Ill., died March 29.

Miami, Fla.; and a brother-in-law,
Royal C. Barnett of Southfield.
Interment Detroit.

CHARLOTEE EISMAN, 72, of
Southfield, died April 2. Survived
by her husband, Martin.

BERTHA GOFFMAN, 87, died

March 31. She leaves a son, Dr.
Irwin of New York City; a daugh-
ter, Lynne; and a sister, Esther
Glucksman of Argentina.

ZIEGFRIED HEILBRUN, 74,
of Oak Park, died March 30. Sur-
vived by his wife, Irma; two sons,
David R. and Barry H. of Houston,
Tex.; a brother, Louis of Toledo,
Ohio; and four grandchildren.

April 3. He leaves a son, Harold; a
daughter, Marilyn; three
grandchildren and one great-
grandson.

CHARLES ISRAEL JACOB-
SON, 79, died March 28. He

leaves a brother, Samuel; and a
sister, Mrs. Rebecca Canigsser.

LEO E. JANOFF, former De-
troiter of Palm Beach, Fla., died
March 29. Survived by his wife,
Adeline; two sons, Stephen and
James; and two grandchildren.

FLORENCE R. KAROL, 74, of
Bay City, died March 28. Sur-
vived by her husband, Dr. Her-
bert; a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence
(Maxine) Harwin of West Bloom-
field; and three grandchildren.

LILLIAN LEVITT, 69, of Smith-

field, died April 2. Survived by a
sister, Mrs. Ralph (Ruth) Smith.

NORMAN J. LIPPITT, 84,
former Detroiter of Sarasota, Fla.,
died March 31. Survived by his
wife, Ethel; a son, Carl J. of South-
field; a daughter, Mrs. Harriett
Krass of Southfield; four brothers,
Irving of Beverly Hills, Calif.,
Martin of Hollywood, Fla., Dr. Al-
bert of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and
Alfred of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister,
Leona Rubinstein of Southfield;
five grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren. Interment
Sarasota.

ARTHUR MARCUS, 59, of
Southfield, died April 1. Survived

by three sisters, Mrs. Harry (Lee)
Bragman, Mrs. Sidney (Joyce)
Margolis and Mrs. Betty Weiss.

GERTRUDE MENTZEL, 69,
died March 31. She leaves her
husband; Edward; a son, Barry; a
sister, Mrs. Beatrice Altholz of
Wantagh, N.Y.; and three
grandchildren.

ALBERT ROBERTS, 76, former

Detroiter of Delray Beach, Fla.,
died March 31. He leaves his wife,
Ida; a son, Herbert of San Mateo,
Calif.; two grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren.

LILLIAN ROSE, 68, former De-
troiter of Lakewood, Calif., died
March 11. Survived by her hus-
band; Maurice; a son, Harvey of
California; a daughter, Susan of
California; and two
grandchildren.
Interment
California.

CHARLES SELVER, 75, died
March 31. No known survivors.

ERWIN SWERDLEN, 59, of

Redford, died March 28. Survived
by his wife, Florence; seven sons,
Sanford Swerdlen, Dennis
Swerdlen and Howard Swerdlen,
Robert Seward, Bruce Seward,
Edward Seward and Johnny Se-
ward; three daughters, Mrs. Al
(Barbara) Pfaff of Belleville,
Susan Seward and Margaret Se-
ward; his mother, Mrs. Rose
Swerdlen; a sister, Mrs. George
(Madelyn) Karnes; and four
grandchildren.

HYMAN WEISSE, 90, of Oak

Park, died April 1. Survived by
his wife, Sarah; three sons, Irving
Weisberg, Israel Taub and
Leonard Taub; three daughters,
Mrs. Isadore (Sylvia) Epstein,
Mrs. Irving (Estelle) Gladstone
and Mrs. Joseph (Frances) Gantz;
18 grandchildren and 12 great-
grandchildren.

SAMUEL OSCAR WOLOK, 88,
of Southfield, died March 30. Sur-
vived by three sons, Morris,
Robert R. and Jerry; four
brothers, Leon Wolock, Sol Z.
Walack, Nathan Wolok of
Lauderhill, Fla., and Henry
Wolok of Lauderdale Lakes, Fla.;
two sisters, Fannie Edelman and
Mrs. Tilly Rose; seven
grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.

EVELYN R. ZAMLER, 78, of

Detroit, died March 27. Survived
by a brother, Edward Rubin of
Pittsburgh, Pa.; and a sister, Mrs.
Abraham (Edith) Fingold, also of
Pittsburgh. Interment
Pittsburgh.

Mary Gordon

Mary Gordon, a Tri-County
Braille Volunteer, died March 29
at age 89.
Born in Toledo, Ohio, Mrs. Gor-
don was a member of Cong.
Shaarey Zedek and its sisterhood
and Hadassah.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs.
Jerry (Devora) Disner; three sis-
ters, Mrs. Meyer (Rose)
Waterstone, Betty Kaplan and
Mrs. Ben. (Nadine) Lipton; seven
grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.
