only does this group ski every chance
they get all winter, they keep the
group alive the rest of the year as well.
The club welcomes singles age 21-45.
It has 50 • members, but winter
snowstorms have brought many new
faces.
The club's agenda is concentrated
on skiing, both downhill and cross-
country. A trip is being planned in
March to ski in Vail, Colo. Non-skiing
plans include white-water rafting,
bike trips, swim parties and the very
popular Trivial Pursuit Game Night.
According to Jim Millman, trip
chairman and treasurer of the group,
"It's a chance to meet lots of interest-
ing, down-to-earth people. How many
Jewish groups do you know get out and
enjoy the outdoors? This outdoor ex-
perience provides a more relaxed, fun
atmosphere. People seem to lose their
facade much more readily than at a
dance."
The group is "responsible" for one
marriage of a couple who met on a
canoe trip last summer and one recent
engagement.
A nominal membership fee in-
cludes discounts for trips and events.

clubs. The Dinner Club meets at var-
ious local restaurants. The Arts Club
attends theater productions and other
cultural events. These clubs are run by
separate committees within the Net-
work.
There are also Oneg Shabbat pro-
grams at local synagogues, dances and
parties held jointly with other af-
filiates of the Center such as the
Health Club, weekend trips, speakers,
bowling and softball leagues and much
more.
There is no membership fee. How-
ever, there is usually a charge to
attend events.
The Network sends out a mailing
of 3,600 newsletters a month which
list the calendar of upcoming func-
tions. Occasionally, the newsletter
lists programs of other non-profit
Jewish organizations which are also
pertinent to singles age 25-45. For in-
formation and to obtain the monthly
newsletter, call Tabashneck, 661-1000
ext. 219.
