The club welcomes singles age 21-45. It has 50 • members, but winter snowstorms have brought many new faces. The club's agenda is concentrated on skiing, both downhill and cross- country. A trip is being planned in March to ski in Vail, Colo. Non-skiing plans include white-water rafting, bike trips, swim parties and the very popular Trivial Pursuit Game Night. According to Jim Millman, trip chairman and treasurer of the group, "It's a chance to meet lots of interest- ing, down-to-earth people. How many Jewish groups do you know get out and enjoy the outdoors? This outdoor ex- perience provides a more relaxed, fun atmosphere. People seem to lose their facade much more readily than at a dance." The group is "responsible" for one marriage of a couple who met on a canoe trip last summer and one recent engagement. The Network has sub-divided into clubs. The Dinner Club meets at var- ious local restaurants. The Arts Club attends theater productions and other cultural events. These clubs are run by separate committees within the Net- work. There are also Oneg Shabbat pro- grams at local synagogues, dances and parties held jointly with other af- filiates of the Center such as the Health Club, weekend trips, speakers, bowling and softball leagues and much more. There is no membership fee. How- ever,there is usually a charge to attend events. The Network sends out a mailing of 3,600 newsletters a month which list the calendar of upcoming func- tions. Occasionally, the newsletter lists programs of other non-profit Jewish organizations which are also pertinent to singles age 25-45.
