him to Mexico, Argentina,
Hungary, Israel, Wisconsin,
MoroccO, Tunisia, India and
Germany. He's also been to the
Arctic, in the jungles of the
Sudan, through most of
Europe, in South America and
the Sahara Desert. Today he's
teaching, and at first found the
regularity of a teaching
schedule "upsetting."
"I had a lot of trouble getting
used to it. Now I'm used to it."
But he prefers jetting off to an
assignment. "It fits my kind of
personality."
In the early years, his wife
objected to his frequent flying,
and she stayed home with

she works with him as a re-
searcher and writer.
The current exhibit at the

County Museum, which gave
him the original financing.
Choosing the photos for the
exhibit was not an easy task.

They depict wide-eyed Ethio-
pian children, East Indian
Jews during a celebration,
aged European Jews studying
Talmud, children in ORT
schools and Jews from around
the world in home, religious or
communal situations.
Public response to his ex-
hibits has been positive. That
is evidenced by the long list of
places that have exhibited his
work. In addition, his photo-
