In 1981, his travels took him to Mexico, Argentina, Hungary, Israel, Wisconsin, MoroccO, Tunisia, India and Germany. He's also been to the Arctic, in the jungles of the Sudan, through most of Europe, in South America and the Sahara Desert. Today he's teaching, and at first found the regularity of a teaching schedule "upsetting." "I had a lot of trouble getting used to it. Now I'm used to it."
