Campaign telethon
aids Israel economy
In response to the growing eco-
nomic crisis in Israel, Allied
Jewish Campaign volunteers will
hold a telethon on Dec. 18.
Marvin H. Goldman and I.
William Sherr, cash mobilization
chairmen, are heading the tele-
thon, set for 6-9 p.m. at the United
Hebrew Schools.
Goldman and Sherr noted that
by paying their pledges to the
Campaign before the end of the
year, or making a pre-payment on
their 1985 pledge, contributors
will benefit from the savings on
their tax returns.
For information about the tele-
thon, call the Federation, 965-
3939. -
