The Detroit Chapter of the
American Technion Society will

Yehuda Z. Blum, Israel's former
chief delegate to the United Na-
tions, will be the guest speaker.
Prof. Blum was born in Europe
in 1931. At age 13, he was de-
tained in the Nazi concentration
camp of Bergen-Belsen. He re-
ceived his formal training at the
Hebrew University in Jerusalem
and at the University of London,
where he earned a doctorate in in-
ternational law.
In 1968, Blum became professor
of international law at Hebrew
University. He served at that post
for.ten years until Prime Minister
Menachem Begin appointed him
to the United Nations. Upon leav-
