Organization will celebrate
its 51st anniversary at its
annual donor luncheon to be
held noon Aug. 20 at Cong.

The afternoon will fea-
ture entertainment by voc-
alist Gloria Bookstein, ac-
companied by Rochelle
Barr. The women are mem-
bers of the Bel Canto Choral
Society and Music Plus One.
They have entertained for a
variety of organizations
throughout the metropoli-
tan Detroit area.
Frances Brown is the
journal chairman and
Mabel Alvin is in charge of
future leaders.
Proceeds from the donor
will go for the women's proj-
ects benefitting the needy

Hospital in Israel.
The women participate in
other projects aiding the
needy, the ailing, the re-
tarded. Each year, the
organization joins the
Cooperative Council in pre-
paring a Chanukah party
and Passover Seder for the
