Plans expand for MSTY
In response to calls and
letters from across the
United States, Israel and
Canada, the program for the
Michigan State Temple
Youth (MSTY) Reunion
Conclave, Nov. 23-25, has
been expanded.
Alumni of MSTY classes
of 1957-1967 will gather for
a full weekend of events, all
led by alumni of the youth
organization. .
A Shabbat service and
Oneg Shabbat, at Temple
Beth El will feature Zeev
(Bill) ' Cbafets, former
MSTY and NFTY president
and director, State of Israel
Press Office: Chafets will
assess the implicatiaons of
both the Israeli and U.S.
eleCtions.
The Nov. program will
include presentations on
anti-Semitism in American
cults and missionary
groups, and the portrayal of
Israel by the media, as well
ai a Saturday, evening
"`50's" dance.
The conclave will con-
clude with Sunday brunch,
special presentations, and a
"nostalgia" friendship circle
with songs from the MSTY
past.
