Lebenbom retains council post
David Lebenbom has
been elected to his third
term as president of the
Jewish Community Council
of Metropolitan Detroit.
Elected with him were:
Leon Cohan, David Denn
and Esther Fealk, vice
presidents; Oscar Hertz,
secretary; and Rabbi
Richard C. Hertz, treasurer.
Elected to serve three-
year terms on the Council
Executive Committee were:

Rosenblum, Laurence De-
itch, Philip Handleman,
Rabbi Ernst Conrad, Rabbi
Stanley Rosenbaum, Isa-

Shenkmans endow tuition, dormitory
scholarship fund at Bar-Ilan
Mr. and Mrs. Jack
(Miriam) Shenkman, noted
philanthropists and Jewish
communal activists, have
established an endowed
scholarship fund at Bar-
Ilan University, it was an-
nounced by Phillip
Stollman, chairman of Bar-
Ilan's global board of trus-
tees, and by Dr. Leon Fill,
vice president of the univer-
sity's American Board of
Overseers.
The income from the
Shenkman Fund will per-
petually provide one tuition
and dormitory scholarship
to a Bar-Ilan student. To be
eligible the scholarship re-
cipients must be partici-
