Fox, Zlotoff hold top posts
in Bar-Ilan Detroit affiliate

Donald Fox and Paul
Zlotoff have been named the
new Bar-Ilan general
chairman in Detroit, an-
nounced Phillip Stollman,
chairman of Bar-Ilan's
Global Board of Trustees,
and Dr. Leon Fill, vice
president of the university's
American Board of Over-
seers.
Fox and Zlotoff will over-
see Bar-Ilan's fund-raising
and educational activities
in Detroit, in addition to
continuing the leadership
development work of im-
mediate past chairmen Dr.
Martin Hart and Norman
A. Pappas, recently ap-
pointed to Bar-Ilan's
American Board.
Fox is on the board of the

Donald Fox
Jewish Community Center
and of the United Hebrew
Schools. He serves on the
culture and education
committee of the Jewish
Welfare Federation, and
has been active since 1964
with the Allied Jewish
Campaign.
He is president of the
Industrial Employers Asso-
ciation, a board member of
the North Oakland YMCA

Prof. Emanuel Rackman, left, president of Bar-Ilan
University, has announced that the Moshe and Sarah
Friedman Yiddish Teachers Training Program has opened
on campus. This program was conceived by the Friedmans,
at right, with the help of Prof. Rackman and Philip
Slomovitz, editor emeritus of The Detroit Jewish News and
Bar-Ilan honoree. Participating students are enrolled in the
school of education, and receive specialized training in the
teaching of Yiddish, as well as extensive background in
Yiddish language and literature.

Zlotoff has served as Bar-
Ilan's education chairman
for the past 2 1/2 years. He is
on the board of the Jewish
Welfare Federation's cul-

past executive board
member of Federation's
Young Adults Division, and
in 1980 was Young Leader-
ship co-chairman at the
general assembly of the
Council of Jewish Federa-
tions held in Detroit.
