Gavriel Cifrony, the De-
troit Zionist Federation
scholar-in-residence for
1984, will speak to a variety
of groups during his Detroit
visit. His schedule to date,
which includes meetings
with college classes, com-
munity leaders and media
people, is as follows:
On Tuesday, Cifrony will
speak in the morning to
Hadassah. At noon, he will
address the Einstein
Luncheon forum at South-
field Charley's on "The
Middle East and the Super-
powers." That evening at 8,
he will speak at Beth Achim
on "Arabs in Israel — Con-
frontation or Co-existence?"
in a program sponsored by
the Detroit District-Zionist
Organizaiton of America,
Beth Achim and the Jewish
Community Council.
Cifrony will travel to
Kalamazoo Wednesday,
when he will meet with stu-
dents and speak at
Kalamazoo College and at
Western Michigan Univer-
sity.
At 1 p.m. March 2, Cif-
rony will be interviewed
at 1 p.m. by Mark Scott on
WXYZ radio.
He will speak from the
Bnai Moshe bima on March
3, after which he will be the
guest at an oneg Shabat
sponsored by Pioneer
Women/Naamat, the Labor
Zionist Alliance and His-
tadrut. At 8 p.m. March 3,
he will speak to the
Jabotinsky Society of Herut
Zionists of America at the
Jimmy Prentis Morris
Branch of the Jewish Com-
munity Center.
Cifrony will meet the
Shaarey Zedek havura on
March 4 and on March 7 he
will be in East Lansing,
where he will meet with
Friends of Israel and speak
at the New Covenant
Church.
Jewish and Single of
Cong. Beth Shalom will
present Cifrony as its guest
speaker at an oneg Shabat 8
p.m. March 9 at Beth
Shalom.
