be mounted at the Detroit
Historical Museum, April
12-19. "Jewish Life in
Michigan" will complement
the national touring exhibit
"Jewish Life in America:
Fulfilling the American
Dream." The exhibit is
sponsored by the ADL to
celebrate its 70th anniver-
sary. It is funded in part by
the Max M. Fisher Founda-

Michigan Chairman of
the event Judy Nolish
said she is looking for any

flavor of Jewish life and
accomplishments in the
state. That might include
wedding and society pic-

Jewish contributions in

business and the arts, etc.
All materials should in-

Persons who have mate-

rials for possible inclusion
in the exhibit of Jewish life
in Michigan should contact
Leslie Dickstein at the ADL
office, 962-9686.

Resigns Post

TEL AVIV — Brig. Gen.
Shlomo Ilya, the head of the
Israeli civil administration
in the West Bank resigned
last week amid allegations
of corruption, according to
the Defense Ministry.
Gen. Ilya was accused of
having had a soldier trans-
ferred from her unit to his
bureau contrary to estab-
lished procedures and of
allowing her to be absent
from her unit for several
weeks. The general, who
was also charged with em-
ploying a local resident to
carry out work in his home,
will remain in the Israel De-
fense Force in a new post.
