The new Mrs. Poznak was

sity of Michigan. Her hus-
band .attended Northwest-
ern University and earned a
law degree at Boston Uni-
versity.
Following a honeymoon
in Spain, the couple are re-
siding in Chicago.

named chairman of the an-
nual dinner of the Michigan
Region of the American Red
Magen David for Israel to be
held 6 p.m. Oct. 23 at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
Dr. John J. Mames,
chairman of the Michigan
Chapter, MDA, stated that
the event will honor Con-
gressman Sander Levin.
Dr. Shipko, an orthodon-
tist, teacher lecturer and
assistant professor at the
University of Detroit School
of Dentistry, is active in
numerous civic, Jewish and
Israeli affairs locally and on
international scene.
In Alpha Omega Dental
Fraternity, Dr. Shipko
has served as president
of the Detroit Alumni
Chapter; regent; secre-
tary; Tribute Fund and
$100 Club" chairman of
the Alpha Omega Found-
ation; co-chairman of the
International Alpha
Omega Israel Bond
Committee and chairman
of the Israeli Russian
Dental Retraining Proj-
ect. As international
editor of the "Alpha
Omegan" he was the re-
cipient of a special cita-
tion of excellence from
the Council on Jour-
nalism, American Dental
Association.
Presently, Dr. Shipko is
chairman of the Alpha
Omega Committee for the
Tel Aviv University School
of Dental Medicine. He was
presented with "The People
of Israel Live Medallion"
from Tel Aviv University
and a special recognition
was extended to him from
the dental school at the He-
brew University in
Jerusalem "for his support
and efforts to improve den-
tal education."
Dr. Shipko also has
served as chairman of Al-
lied Jewish Campaign,
Dental Section. He is an
