Mike Miller, former WXYZ
morning host . . . will be
hosting an evening talk
show at WHDH radio (850
AM) . . . among the top
rated stations in Boston,
Mass. market . . . Also, ten-
tatively scheduled, in the
spring, Mike will host a
weekly television talk show
out of Hartford, Conn.
Mike and Peggy have al-
ready sold their home in
Farmington Hills . . . and
will temporarily reside in
Boston.
Mike intends to work
closely with the Jewish
community . . . as he did
while here .. . only this
time, it will be among one
of the nation's largest
Jewish communities .. .
with a Jewish population
over 170,000.
He already is in contact
with Boston Jewish com-
munal leaders. -
Before Mike and Peggy
left for Boston, a gathering
of about 30 close friends bid
them adieu . . . at the home
of Barbara and Lon
Grossman . . . in Bloomfield
Hills . . . Mike's parents,
Ruth and Sylvan Miller,
came to the party from their
home in Hammond, Ind.
Detroit's loss is very cer-
tainly a big gainer for the
Boston area.
CONGRATS . . . to Jack
and Mollie Ekter . . . on
their 58th anniversary.
55 YEARS OF friend-
ship was continued recently
. . . when Sylvia Bellow and
hubby Bernie, former De-
troiters living in Hol-
lywood, Calif., visited the
hometown of 10 years ago
. . . Sylvia, Beatrice Belfer,
Betty Harrison and Betty
Englander . . . all graduated
Central High School . . .
either the same year or a
year apart . . . but friends
since entering Central.

adults now living in this
region from the Michigan
area, and are always
pleased to have them get in
touch with us. Also, many
conventions here in town
bring our old Michigan
friends and we love hearing
from them and recommend-
ing the latest 'in' places for
them.
"My mother, Dorothy
Bluestein, lives in Florida, a
brother Melvin with his
Sabra wife and three chil-
dren, live on a kibutz in Is-
rael, niece and nephew
Joann and Herb Kahn and
their two children live in
Los Angeles.

mer for the first time in
years when Mel and family
came to the U.S. for a visit.
They visited with sisters
still in Detroit, Shirley
