mon. This recipe could be

Cabbage Rice
Rolls Recipe
1 8-oz. pkg. Philadelphia
Brand cream cheese, cubed
3/4 cup milk
1 tbsp. sugar
2 cups cooked rice
1 cup raisins
2 eggs, beaten
1 /4 cup finely chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1h tsp. cinnamon
8 cabbage leaves, cooked
2 tbsps." Parkay margarine,
melted
Combine cream cheese,
milk and sugar; stir over low
heat until smooth. Add 1/ cup
cream cheese mixture to com-
bined rice, 2/3 cup raisins,
eggs, onion, salt and cinna-
mon. Spoon 1 /3 cup rice mix-
ture into center of each cab-
bage leaf. Fold opposite ends
of cabbage leaves over filling;
roll up. Brush cabbage rolls
with margarine; place in 12x8-
inch baking dish. Cover. Bake
at 350 degrees, 25 minutes.
Add remaining raisins to re-
maining cream cheese sauce;
spoon over cabbage rolls.
Yield: 8 servings.

Cheesecake
1/3 cup Parkay margarine
1 /3
cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 cups flour

Brand cream cheese, sof-
tened
V3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 /2 tsp. vanilla

2 cups thin peeled apple slices
3 /4 cup apple juice
1 /4 cup chopped pecans
2 tbsps. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Beat margarine and sugar
until light and fluffy. Blend in
egg. Add flour; mix well.
Spread on bottom and 1 1/2-
inches high around sides of
9-inch springform pan.
Combine cream cheese and
sugar, mixing at medium
speed on electric mixer until
well blended. Add eggs, one at
a time, mixing well after each
addition. Blend in vanilla; pour
into pastry-lined pan. Bake at
450 degrees, 10 minutes. Re-
duce oven temperature to 250
degrees; continue baking 15
minutes. Loosen cake from
rim of pan; cool before remov-
ing rim of pan.
Combine apples and juice in
medium saucepan. Simmer 10
minutes or until apples are
tender. Add combined remain-
ing ingredients. Cook, stirring
constantly, over medium heat
until clear and thickened; cool.
Spoon over cheesecake; chill.
Yield: 10 to 12 servings.

Kitchens to be enjoyed at Sukkot.
1 8-oz. pkg. Philadelphia
Brand cream cheese, cubed
✓ cup milk
1 10-oz. pkg. frozen cut green
beans, cooked, drained
1 /2 cup cooked carrot slices
1 /2 tsp. dry mustard
1 /4 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
3 acorn squash, cut in half,
baked
3 tbsps. dry bread crumbs
1 tbsp. Parkay margarine,
melted
Combine cream cheese and
milk; stir over low heat until
smooth. Stir in beans, carrot
and seasonings; heat
thoroughly. Spoon vegetable
mixture into hot squash; top
with combined crumbs and
margarine. Yield: 6 servings.
MICROWAVE: Microwave
cream cheese and 1/2 cup milk
in 1-quart measure or bowl on
Medium (50 percent) 6 to 8
minutes or until sauce is
smooth, stirring every 2 min-
utes. Stir in beans, carrot and
seasonings. Microwave 4 to 6
minutes or until thoroughly
heated, stirring after 3 min-
utes. Continue as directed.

1 cup flour

1/2 cup raisins
2 tbsps. sugar
1 /4 tsp. cinnamon
Combine flour and salt; cut
in 4 ozs. cream cheese and
margarine until mixture re-
sembles coarse crumbs. Di-
vide dough into two balls;
chill. On lightly floured sur-
face, roil each half to 9x12-inch
rectangle.
Combine remaining cream
cheese and ricotta cheese,
mixing until well blended. For
each coffee cake, spread half
of cream cheese mixture onto
center of dough; top with half
of combined remaining ingre-
dients. Fold over sides; press
at ends to seal. Place, seam
side up, on greased cookie
sheet. Bake at 350 degrees, 30
to 35 minutes or until golden
browh. Cut diagonally into
1-inch slices; sprinkle with
powdered sugar. Yield: 12
servings.
