being prepared for con-
sumption.
Irving's is the only res-
taurant in the city that
makes old-fashioned boiled
whitefish . . . Rose does all
the cooking of fish . . . "I
don't trust anybody to make
my fish," she states with
firmness . . Trout, baked
whitefish, gefilte fish and
broiled whitefish are Rose's
specialties.
Chicken fricassee is sold
at few places . . . same with
roast tongue . . . People
come from all over for Irv-
ing's stuffed cabbage, stuf-
fed pepper, baked lamb
shanks, kishke, corned beef
hash, boiled beef flanken,
breaded veal cutlet, steer
liver, southern fried chic-
ken, etc. . . . including the
very popular chicken-in-
the-pot with chicken soup,
kreplach, matzo ball, carrot,
boiled potato and boiled
chicken.
Also beef-in-the-pot .. .
The steaks and hamburgers
are choice selections, too.
Irving's grinds its own
meat for various menu
items ... which is a tre-
mendous asset ... know-
ing that 100 percent beef
comes out of the grinder.
Rose makes her own
blintzes, pastries, cakes,
rice pudding and so many
other delicious yummies.
On Fridays and Satur-
days, she makes her own
halla bread . . . so good that
people call it "cake" . . . She
even makes her own creamy
garlic dressing, which is
available for carry-out .. I
as well as homemade potato
salad and cole slaw.
Jews and non-Jews alike
enjoy the homemade soup
and delicacies at Irving's .. .
a customer of Vienna Prod-
ucts from the time it first
went into business in Ham-
tramck.
Irving's Delicatessen-
Restaurant can be summed
up in the fact that it serves
good, wholesome fresh-
cooked food . . . at low prices
. . . served by conscientious
waitresses . . . in a clean,
wholesome atmosphere.
Customers can ask for no
more.
WINE TASTING by
Oakland County Chapter
Les Amis du Vin is this
Wednesday, 7 p.m. . . . at
American Legion Hall, 12
Mile between Coolidge and
Woodward . . . It's in asso-
ciation with Wine Market-
ing Associates . . . present-
ing an evening with the
wines of Fetzer Vineyards
owned by Bernard and
Kathleen Fetzer in Califor-
nia's Napa Valley.
LARRY NOZERO
Quartet is at Archibald's
tonight, tomorrow and
Tuesday evenings . . . Sun-
days, he's at the Crash
Landing on Dequindre.
GEORGE BRICOLAS
will open his Sero's Greek-
American restaurant in a
couple of weeks at the
former Healthy Jones spot
on Northwestern and 12
Mile . . . George's other
Sero's in Royal Oak will not
be closed . . . He'll operate

both places.
NATURAL FOOD
enthusiasts are no longer in
a minority says Ed Ever-
sole, owner of It's Natural
on Orchard Lake Rd.
. . .With natural food be-
coming more and more
popular, people are reading
labels and paying closer at-
tention to what they eat.
It's Natural is also a place
to learn about natural foods
. . . In addition to staffing
knowledgeable people to
answer questions, It's
Natural has devoted an
entire section of the store to
nutritional literature and
free information . . . Fea-
tured are a complete line of
100 percent natural vita-
mins and minerals, health
and beauty aids, garden
fresh fruits and vegetables,
homemade sandwiches and
pure natural juices . . . plus
unprocessed cheeses and
