Organization at an Israel
Bond tribute dinner-dance 6
p.m. June 30 at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
Harry Michelson will be
presented Israel's Lion of
Judah Award "in recogni-
tion of outstanding service
to Bnai Brith and other
communal and humanita-
rian causes."
Michelson became a Bnai
Brith member in 1935 in his
hometown, St. Louis. Mov-
ing to Detroit in 1941, he
joined the Louis Marshall
Suburban Lodge and has
held numerous offices with
the lodge, has chaired many
committees and was
president during the 1975-
1976 term.
He has been a delegate
to Bnai Brith Regional
Council for many years
and served on the Coun-
cil Board for three years.

tant to Tivkah Lodge for
two years.
Michelson has served on
the Jewish National Fund
Committee, in conjunction
with Bnai Brith, and this
year chaired the President's
Brunch. He is the current
president of the Louis Mar-
shall Benevolent Fund and
has been re-elected to that
post for the 1983-1984 term.
He is on the executive
board of the Southfield
Senior Men's Club. Before
his retirement in 1976,
Michelson was the manager
of a printing firm in Detroit.
The honoree and his wife,
Rose, have just celebrated
their 50th anniversary.
They have been members of
Adat Shalom Synagogue for
31 years.
