THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS
Education Seminar Is Held for Women of Israel Bonds
The first in a series of
educational seminars, a
"What, How and Why Day"
was presented recently by
the Metro Detroit Women's
Division of Israel Bonds.
The meeting, held at the
United Hebrew Schools in
Southfield, was chaired by
Doreen Hermelin, division
chairman.
Guest speaker Beatrice
Weiss, national director of
the Israel Bonds Women's
Division, discussed how to
seek out those women cur-
rently uninvolved in the Is-
rael Bond program.
, "Jewish women, in addi-
tion to their husbands, have
a responsibility to the
Jewish state. We must give
to humanitarian causes in
Israel, but we must also buy
Bonds to upbuild the nation,
so that Israel can be strong,"
she said.
