— A new phenomenon, in-
volving unanticipated emo-
tional and financial respon-
sibilities for parents whose
grown children are return-
ing to the homes of the par-
ents, was disclosed in the
1982-1983 annual report of
the Jewish Community
Services of Long Island
(JCSLI).
The report declared that
"more and more, we are se-
eing parents whose divorced
children, sometimes with
children of their own, have
returned home to live.
Adult children, coping with
a depressed job market,
have also come back home
simply because they cannot
afford independent living."

The deeply-religious
and the traditionally-
inspired will be moved by
the themes in this book.
Especially moving is this
impression with which
Rabbi Silverstein left his
visit at the Kotel
Maaravi, the Western Wall,
in Jerusalem:
