Women's Unit, Midrasha Join Defense, Arms Limitation
for Lunch, Lecture Series
Topic of AJCommittee

Pioneer Women/Naamat
and the Midrasha, College
of Jewish Studies, will co-
sponsor a three-part spring
lunch and lecture series be-
ginning 1 p.m. April 28 at
the Midrasha.
Wendy Orent, an an-
thropologist, will lecture on
"Ethnic Relations in Is-
rael."
Succeeding lectures will
be on May 12 and 26.
Luncheon precedes the lec-
tares.
Babysitting will be
provided for children 18
months and older. Ad-
vance reservations are
necessary.
Ms.Orent received an AB
degree from the University
of Michigan and MA degree
in anthropology from Bos-
ton University. She is cur-
rently a PhD degree candi-
date in anthropology at the
University of Michigan. She
has taught at Boston Uni-
versity and at U-M.

"Defense and Arms Limi-
tation" will be the topic of a
program to be sponsored by
the Detroit Chapter,
American Jewish Commit-
tee, at 7:30 p.m. Monday in
the main United Hebrew
Schools auditorium.

the guest speaker.
