Navon Predicts
Jewish Decline

JERUSALEM (ZINS) —
President Yitzhak Navon of
, 'Israel, referring of his re-
cent U.S. visit, said that
400,000 out of 750,000
Jewish children in the U.S.
receive no Jewish educa-
tion.
He said this problem, to-
gether with intermarriage
and the ban on Jewish edu-
cation in the Soviet Union,
will lead to a Jewish popula-
tion decline in the Diaspora
from the present 10.5 mil-
lion to eight million by the
year 2000 and five million
by the year 2025.
