Kollek Predicts
Begin Victory

TEL AVIV (ZINS) —
Jerusalem Mayor Teddy
Kollek has expressed
doubts in a magazine inter-
view that President Yit-
zhak Navon could lead the
Labor Alignment to victory
in the next elections.
Kollek said Labor had no
leader who could defeat
Likud's Menahem Begin.
Meanwhile, a Public Opn-
ion Research Institute poll
shows that Navon's popu-
larity continues to grow.
Asked who should be the
leader of Labor, the public
responded 36.6 percent for
Yitzhak Rabin, 17.1 percent
for Navon and 10.2 percent
for Shimon Peres.
Party leader Peres' popu
larity has dropped from 14.4
percent last July. Navon
has climbed from 5.3 per-
cent in July to his present
17 percent.
