about Pete Larco's sons,
Mark and Mike, and Nick
Larco's son, Duke, opening
a carry-out, and had to find
out if they can hold a candle
to the food of their dads. I
left the office and brought
back a lunch carry-out.
Minestrone soup, salad and
Veal Colombo. All three
tasted as good as they did
years ago.

THE LONG-RUNNING

Broadway comedy hit,
"Same Time, Next Year" by
Bernard Slade, through
March 26 at the Komedy
Players Dinner Theater of
Allen Park, with Friday and
Saturday evening perform-
ances, is the second produc-
tion of this season in Allen.

The present funny show
about a wild and hilarious
love affair between George
and Doris who agree to meet

cessful two-character com-

1,444 performances.
Part of Doris is played by
very talented Jan Salis-
bury, and George is the vet-
eran actor Ralph Rosati.

The former Inn Between
with its 22-seater horseshoe
bar and 120 table seating is

the Italian-American din-
ing at their Ciro's . . . more a
bar operation plus sand-
wiches, small plate spe-
cialties, salads, steaks,
array of munchies, etc.
Sue Shoots, manager at
Peppi's, was a Ciro's wait-
ress for two years and at an
Orchard Lake Rd. rib spot
for a year before rejoining
Ciro and Jerry . . . Prior to
getting into the restaurant
game, she was a teacher in
elementary and adult edu-
cation for eight years .. .
and has had 12 educational
booklets published.
In her spare time, Sue
studies computer typeset-
ting at Oakland Commu-
nity College in pursuit of
her master's degree.
Special drink prices and
hors d'oeuvres are slated for
the public opening of Pep-
pi's.

HERE IS GOLDIE
ADLER'S recipe for tomato

pudding in Jack McCarthy's
recipe cookbook . . . "10
slices whole wheat bread,
two 15-oz. cans tomato
puree, 3 /4 cup brown sugar,
one stick oleo, 1 cup water
and lemon juice . . . Melt
oleo, dice bread, add to oleo
and mix well. Bring puree,
water and brown sugar to a
boil and pour over bread and
mix well. Pour into 9x13x2
baking dish and sprinkle
lemon juice over all. Bake at
300 degrees for 30 minutes
or until brown."

ciation for 1983, his second
consecutive term as head of
the 1,800-member associa-
tion representing 3,000 din-
ing establishments in
Michigan . . . His father,
Harold, was MRA chairman
