been appointed Michigan
field representative of the
American Friends of the
Hebrew University, Inc.
She will be headquartered
at the new AFHU offices in

hours are from 9 a.m. to 5
p.m. Monday through Fri-
day.
Mrs. Cohen attended
Ohio State University in
Columbus, Ohio, and has
been an administrator at
Carnegie-Mellon Univer-
sity and the University of
Pittsburgh in continuing
education programs on a
post-graduate level and has
been a participant in inter-

French Ouster
of PLO Asked

PARIS (JTA) — Israel
has formally asked France
to close the PLO office in
Paris and to expel its repre-
sentative, Ibrahim Suss.
French sources said it was
"highly unlikely" that the
government would close the
PLO office. They said it was
the third such Israeli re-
quest in recent months.

BBWomen Celebrate 85th

The Fresh Air Society
will host its 10th annual
Tamarack Jamboree and
Reunion 1 p.m: Sunday at
the main Jewish Commu-
nity Center.
Activities include a
variety of booths featuring
carnival activities, craft
workshops, camping dis-
plays and slide and video
tape presentations of last
summer's Ortonville and
Brighton camps. The 16mm
Tamarack movie will also
be shown.

programs will be ac-

joint program 11 a.m. Feb. 6
at the main United Hebrew
Schools Building.

will speak on "Human Sex-
uality." Luncheon will fol-
low the talk. A fashion show

newspaper Maariv says
that Israel has not achieved
its objectives in Lebanon,
and doubts that it will. The
paper says too many anti-
Israel factions are repre-
sented in the goverment of
Amin Gemayel.
