Diamond Jim Brady's on
second level at Prudential
Town Center, Evergreen
and 10 1/2 Mile . . . owned by
Tom Brady.
The dining room with
white booths and tables
seats 90, overlooking one of
the most charming
sceneries around . . . a
glass-enclosed atrium of
beautiful greenery . . .
This is also where parties,
large and small are held .. .
even wedding receptions
(one held in the restaurant
recently was for over 200)
. . . Plus Diamond Jim
Brady's dining room is a
yesteryears-look tap room
seating 90 more at booths,
bar and tables.
It is now a seven-day-a-
week operation . . . adding
Sundays from 2 p.m. . . . The
menu has been changed
quite differently than that
of four years ago . . . and
sometime after . . . Just
burgers, steaks and salads
then . . . Now more variety
comes with nachos, salads,
crepes, quiches, potato
skins, own soup and dres-
sings, daily specials lunch
and dinner, desserts, etc.
Mary Smith, Tom's man-
ager at Town Center's
Diamond Jim Brady's, is a
fine example for her wait-
resses . . . sweet smile, per-
sonable and efficient.

reversal at Adam's Rib,
Greenfield and 10 Mile, now
owned by Ed Mazur of
McInerney's years back on
Northwestern, and son
David Mazur . . . It's not just
a rib and chicken place
anymore . . . The McIner-
ney's touch includes carry-
outs of fish and chips, bur-
ritos, gyros, nachos, chili,
baked potatoes, subs, pizza,
etc.
About Ed's and Dave's
bar-b-qued ribs, they're
much different than those of
the previous owners .. .
very tasty, meaty, and not
overdone or soggy as so
many carry-outs are prone
to be . . . This is especially so
with French fries which a
lot of other places put in
with the ribs . . . Ed and
Dave have them separate
. . . along with soft garlic
bread sticks and an excel-
lent tole slaw.
McInerney's had a fine
family dining reputation
. . . and it's come to Adam's
Rib . . . in carry-out form.
IN ANSWER to queries
. . . yes, Rocky's Pizzeria is
still in business . . . on W.
Seven Mile just east of
Meyers . . . and going strong
as ever.
One thing for sure .. .
Rocky and wife Mary
Laudazio don't let people go
out hungry . . . This has
gone on for many years with
them . . . as generations
have discovered . . . Meals
include everything from
appetizer (shrimp cocktail,
etc.) to salad, entree, potato,
vegetable, applesauce, spa-
ghetti . . . dessert (chocolate
sundae, etc.) and coffee, tea
or milk.
Even Rocky's and Mary's
round pizza prices are
among the lowest anywhere
. . . with as much as people
want on them at what folks
would pay for one or two
items at a lot of places.
Yes, Rocky's Pizzeria is
still very much in business
. . . for which a lot of people
are thankful . . . A real old-
fashioned momma and
poppa operation . with
Rocky still bringing out his
concertina accordion to play
for the folks.

Israel Schools
Enroll 200,000
Arab Students

JERUSALEM (ZINS) —
The number of Arab chil-

dren attending school in Is-
rael has grown from seven
percent of the Arab popula-
tion in 1948 to 33 percent
this year.
When Israel was estab-
lished in 1948, 11,000 chil-
dren of the 156,000 Arab
population attended school.
In 1960, 46,254 attended
school. In 1970, 110,537
children out of a total Arab
population of 440,000 were
in school.
Today, according to the
Central Bureau of Statis-
tics, there are 200,000 stu-
dents in Israel's Arab popu-
lation of 600,000.
