AJCongress Official Due

Nathan Dershowitz, di-

Law and Social Action of the
American Jewish Congress,
will address the Flint
Jewishcommunity at 8 p.m.
Wednesday at Temple Beth
El, Flint. "Assault on the
Courts and Domestic Issues
Concerning the Jewish
Community" will be the
topic of his talk.

Jewish Federation is the

Dershowitz has experi-
ence in both civil and crimi-
nal matters. He is the gen-
eral counsel to the National
Coalition for Public Educa-
tion and Religious Liberty
and the church-state corn-
mittee of the American
Civil Liberties Union as
well as the advisory counsel

Flint Begins UJA Drive

The Flint Jewish Federa-
tion will kick off its 1983
regular and Israel special
funds campaigns 6 p.m. Dec.
4 at Cong. Beth Israel.
Rabbi Gerald Schuster
will conduct a Havdala
service, followed by dinner
and a presentation by Rabbi
Herbert A. Friedman,
former executive vice
chairman of the national
United Jewish Appeal.
He created the Young
Leadership Cabinet, estab-

lished the Israel Education
Fund and developed the
program of Missions to Is-
rael.
Rabbi Friedman is or-
ganizing the Jerusalem
Academy, a secondary level
boarding school for gifted
and talented pupils from Is-
rael and the Diaspora.
