Steelworkers President to Speak
at Labor-Management Bond Fete •

Irving and Sara Mahler, right, of Farmington
Hills and Palm Springs, have established a perma-
nent endowment fund to benefit the senior adult
camping program at the Butzel Conference Center,
conducted under the auspices of the Fresh Air
Society. The $100,000 endowment was made to the
FAS in celebration of the couple's 50th wedding an-
niversary. The Sara and Irving Mahler Guest House
will be formally dedicated at the FAS annual meeting

Technion Dorm Benefactors
Honored at Annual Dinner
Tribute will be paid to the
contributors to the Michi-
gan Dormitory Project at
the Technion-Israel Insti-
tute of Technology at the
34th annual dinner of the
Detroit Chapter of the
American Technion
Society.
The dinner will be held 6
p.m. Nov. 11 at Adat
Shalom Synagogue. Former
Israel Prime Minister Yit-
zhak Rabin will be the guest
speaker.
Sam Rich, national vice
president of the American
Technion Society, is chair-
man of the Michigan Dor-
mitory -Committee. Dr.
Joseph - N. Epel is the
president of the Detroit
Chapter.
Joseph H. Jackier,
chairman of the dinner
committee, said special
tribute will paid to Be-
nard L. Maas, for whom
the dormitory is named.
Other board members in-
volved in the dormitory
project are Louis Milgrom,
past president of the Detroit
Chapter; and Alex J. Etkiii,
executive vice president of
the chapter.
The Technion 2000 group,
the young adult division of
the Detroit chapter, also
benefited the dormitory
project.

American Jewish Congress
has endorsed Proposal E on
the state ballot calling for a
nuclear weapons freeze.
Ruth S. Rosenbaum,
regional director, says the-
national organization has a
long-standing position of
support for the limitation of
nuclear arms.
Men are conservatives
when they are least vigor-
ous or when they are most
luxurious. Men are conser-
vatives after dinner.
