Dulzin, Levinsky
Seek Re-Election
at Zionist Parley
JERUSALEM (JTA) —
Leon Dulzin, chairman of
the World Zionist Organiza-
tion Executive, is virtually
assured of re-election to the
post at the forthcoming
Zionist Congress here in
December.
Lengthy negotiations be-
tween the parties have re-
sulted in agreement that
both Dulzin, a leader of the
Liberal Party wing of
Likud, and WZO treasurer
Akiva Levinsky who is a
Labor movement represen-
tative, will keep their re-
spective positions.
Nagging doubts among
some political circles here
and - Zionist circles abroad
about whether the congress
should be postponed have
been swept aside by Pre-
mier Menahem Begin. At a
meeting with Likud lead-
ers, Begin ruled last week,
according to a report in
Haaretz, that the congress
would be held as scheduled.
The inter-party agree-
ments provide for a slight
decrease in Likud-affiliated
representation (from 168. to
175 delegates) and a slight
rise in Labor-affiliated
delegates (from 123 to 150).
Mizrachi will drop from 77
to 60, reflecting the.Na-
tional Religious Party's los-
ses in the 1981 Knesset
elections in Israel. The
General Zionist Confedera-
tion will go up from 112 to
120.
YIVO to Build

cordings and make them

Future projects involving
the archives include a series
of albums featuring high-
lights from the Yiddish
music collections.
Henry Sapoznik, musi-
cian and record producer,
will direct the • project, and
Mark Slobin, YIVO Re-
search Associate and pro-
fessor music at Wesleyan
University will be consul-
tant.
