Rose AZA 1 concluded
an undefeated season in the
AZA Softball Leaguety de-
feating Goode AZA 5-2 in
the championship game
played recently at South-
field High School. In the
semi-finals Rose AZA 1 had
defeated Wallenberg AZA
10-2 and Goode AZA had de-
feated Samson AZA 4-2.
Softball League coor-
dinator, Harold Silverman,
has announced that the
trophy presentation to the
winning team along with
individual medals for the
players will be made at the
AZA Council meeting
which will take place 7 p.m.

VIP Leadership Camp at
the Charles and Florence
Milan. BBYO Conference
Centre in Belle River, Ont.
The six-day program is de-
signed to train new chapter
presidents and will include
sessions on leadership,
membership, programm-
ing, policy interpretation,
fund raising and budgets.

cently toured Israel. Ac-
cording to Stephen Freed-
man, writing in the Boston
Jewish Advocate, Julius
Chajes' "El Yivneh Hagalil"
was one of two Hebrew
works sung by the chorale
that was popularly received
by the Israelis.
Freedman, guest soloist
with the group, said the
Chajes piece was very popu-
lar because in the midst of
"Operation Peace for
Galilee" it speaks of God re-
building the Galilee.
