JERUSALEM (JNI) —
The fifth meeting of the
Jerusalem Committee has
ended four days of dis-
cussions by endorsing the
municipality's efforts to
administer fairly and cal-
ling for continuation of ar-
cheological excavations in
spite of the hostility of UN-
ESCO.
Founded in 1969 to advise
the muncipality, the 'com-
mittee is now composed of
50 urban planners and
cholars from 15 countries..
Although without recog-
nized legal status, the com-
mittee's recommendations
bear considerable weight.-
The final unanimously
adopted resolution stated:
"We are convinced that the
present administration has
proved its competence, re-
sponsibility and dedication
to the sanctity of the city.
Jerusalem must never be
divided territorially nor re-
ndered ungovernable by at-
tempted internationaliza-
tion."

Now
overseas
calls cost
- less than
ever.
For example, during certain discount periods a three-minute direct dialed
call to the United Kingdom can cost as little as $2.40* plus tax—to Italy,
as little as $3.15* plus tax—and each additional minute costs only one-
third more. If your telephone exchange isn't presently equipped for
international dialing, you still get the same low rate as long as it's a
simple station-to-station call. Overseas dialing—it's easy, it's inexpensive,
and it's something a loved one would really appreciate!
