forum on community

Megama, the musical duo of Moshe Yess and
Shalom LeVine, will appear in Detroit under the au-
spices of the Lubavitch Education Center as part of a
tour of the U.S. and Canada.
The Israeli singing duo
"Megama" (Direction),
featuring Moshe Yess and
Shalom LeVine, will appear
in concert 8 p.m. March 14
in the Southfield High
School Auditorium, spon-
sored by the Lubavitch
Education Center.
As part of its U.S.-Canada
tour, the duo will perform
songs in English, whose
melodies are based on
rock 'n roll, blues, jazz and
country modes. The duo will
perform a new show featur-
ing songs from their second
album, due out in March.
Yess performed in clubs
and hotels on the West
Coast. He played with

Feliciano and appeared on
TV and radio. He emigrated
to Israel in 1978. He plays
guitar and sings.
LeVine plays viola and
sings. He was raised in
Puerto Rico and studied
under Pablo CasaIs. He
played in a band which
backed, among others,
Tony- Bennett and
Sammy Davis, Jr. He
moved to Israel in the
early 1970s and played
viola with the Jerusalem
Symphony Orchestra.
The duo has made three
British tours and appeared
on BBC 'radio. In Israel,
they have performed on TV
and in concert.
