It's fun to see men forget
their inhibitions and get up
alone on the dance floor as if
lured by the sultry Greek
music . . . while people
throw money for the or-
chestra to eventually pick
up . . . or men and women
dancing in circles ... and
nks
waiters bringing dri
onto the stage bought for
the dancers by nearby ta-
bles.
The men customers get-
ting up to dance have their
own intricate rhythmic
movements to the mysteri-
ous or spirited sounding
music . . . It's very
entertaining to watch the
many people who seemingly
enjoy themselves so much
and give such entertain-
ment to those watching
them.
Mykonos is one of the few
Greektown niteries with
continuous entertainment
. two shows every day but
Tuesday . . . and presently
only dinners served, 6 p.m.
to 2 a.m.
The Parthenon is in
reality a magnificent an-
cient Greek architectural
structure atop the hills
overlooking Athens .
Mykonos is one of the 12
Greek islands far from
the Parthenon site.
Here in Detroit, however,
they are only blocks away
from each other . . . with Old
Parthenon and Mykonos
Supper Club like sister ship
operations. -
HOTTEST ACT in Las
Vegas these days is in the
Folies Bergere at Tropicana
Hotel . * . where former De-
troiter George Morse holds
forth.
It's simply called Murillo
& Ulises... a very
ing act
entertaining balanc
. . . But in entertainment
circles, it is noted to have
the world's foremost
death-defying specialty act
of its kind . . . Also, making
feats of strength and
stamina look easy .. and
entertaining their audi-
ences in seven different
languages from Sicilian to
Yiddish while presenting
an alert comedic wit. These
are highly accepted facets of
their performances.
Beyond question or doubt,
the single most impressive
performance in the show is
one they did recently on
television's. "That's Incredi-
ble," on which they ap-
peared three different times
in 1981 . . . and will be on
again, March 15, doing a
different incredible feat.
This act has their two
bodies balanced horizon-
tally on the tips of razor
sharp daggers!
The bottom half is Sal
Murillo, born in Monterey,
Mexico and raised in
Europe . . . He originated
the specialty act ... and
also manages the duo's
business affairs.
On the top, upside down,
is Ulises Reyes, born in
Caracas, Venezuela. He
traveled with his show biz
parents, Rola & Rolan,
