Aliya Center
Offers Families
Summer in Israel
NEW YORK - A. sum-
mer program for American
Jewish families who wish to
experience Israeli life has

work, sightseeing and He-
brew study, are now being

Family Summer Experi-
.ence in Israel," is co-
sponsored by the World
Zionist Organization's Dor
Hemshech Division, the
Jewish Agency's Immigra-
tion Department and the
Jewish National Fund in
cooperation with the
Movement for Conservative
Judaism in Israel, the
Union of Orthodox Jewish
Congregations and the
Association of American
Hebrew Congregations. --

Bias Spurring
Defections in
U .S . Labor Party
NEW YORK - The U.S.
Labor Party, an openly
anti-Semitic group, is cur-
rently facing severe inter-
nal problems, including the
defection of 117 of its key
leaders, according to the,
American Jewish Commit-
tee's Trends Analyses Di-
vision.
Informed sources have
reported that the 117 party
leaders quit the group be-
cause of the blatant anti-
Semitism of Lyndon H.
LaRouche Jr., the party's
chairman. LaRouche re-
sponded to the defections by
claiming that the party had
been infiltrated by "spies"
from -various "enemy
camps."
Since the mass defections,
LaRouche and the defectors
have been accusing each
other of ties to organized
crime, according to the
committee.
Palestine Is Syria'
"Don't forget one thing:
There is no Palestinian na-
tion and there is no Palesti-
nian entity. There is only
Syria. You are an indivisi-
ble part of the Syrian na-
tion, and Palestine is an in-
separable part of Syria.
Therefore, we, the leaders of
Syria, are the true repre-
sentatives of the Palesti-
nian people."
(From a heated discussion
in April 1976, at the height
of the Lebanese civil war,
between Syrian President
Hafez al-Assad and Yasir
Arafat, as recorded in his
'memoirs by a witness,
Kamal Jumblatt, a Marxist
Druze leader assassinated
in 1977 by Syrian opera-
tives.)
A place for everything
and everything in its place.
